La Vallee

So Josh and I added the movie "La Vallee" to our netflix cue because..well, we love pink floyd and the soundtrack is the album "obscured by clouds" the movie is set in New Guinea and its about a group of people that travel to "the valley" which is supposed to be this unexplored place that is complete paradise. the movie was entertaining and visually stunning. but!! they really ruined my favorite song on the album by using it for this really bizarre sex scene. the blond woman in the movie seems to get sexually excited by rare feathers so her and the blond dude get it on to the song "wots, uh the deal?" like really? i wish i could have found a video of the scene in the movie but i could barely find any stills....so its just them doing some pretty sensual grinding and he has a pretty massive butt. haha!


it was worth watching once. even with the bad sex scene and the part were the natives beat the fucking shit out of some pigs, pretty gruesome! even if i ate meat i'm pretty sure i would find it disturbing.

i cannot believe my little butter bean is already one month old today!! being a mom has really changed my life. its something i ever wanted or even thought i'd ever be but i'm so glad that i am! you don't realize how easy your regular 9-5 is until you have a baby. having ofelia is definitely difficult but its also the most rewarding thing i've ever experienced. i never thought i could love a pair of little feet so much!



shes laying next to me right now making her little "ahhs" and its so adorable. she's already working out those vocal chords! not with just screaming because shes hungry, but with just random little squacks. seriously..CUTE!

we bought her this little dress for her 1 monther! i can't believe in 11 months she'll be a year old. i can't believe shes already a month! its seems like it was just the other day when i pushed her out.

the whole time i was pregnant it never seemed real to me. it never really hit me until i looked down and there she was! those pouty little lips and those big eyes just staring at me. it was the most overwhelming experience of my life. my mom started taking photos as soon as she arrived. with me still in stur-ups getting sewn back together....i remember thinking "god, i hope shes not getting my cootie in those pictures"












btw, clipping a newborns fingernails is incredibly nerve wracking!

when it comes to fashion, i think i may be more inspired by men than i am by women. david bowie being on the top of the list!

David Bowie is probably one of the most fashionable men to grace the face of the universe! He's definitely one of the most inspiring people in my world. He's talented, he looks great in a suit, he looks awesome dressed like a woman, and he's pretty damn sexy!

the new pamela love collection has blown me away! i've loved her work for some time now and really wish i could afford to buy something by her.... but its still nice to look.

her work is so inspiring and is something along the lines that i really wish i had the resources to do.

i really need to get to work on my own line. it's hard now that i'm a mother. i have more desire now that i'm not pregnant anymore but no time to do so. i bought a bunch of quartz crystals and have some pretty neat ideas in mind. i really need to try to get in half a necklace when the wee one is napping.. haha than maybe i could finish at least one necklace a day.
